Ladakh also called the Roof of the World is a must-do if you love travelling! Follow my family & me as we travel through Ladakh. It’s been on our bucket list for so long & we were so excited to see it all. I’m going to share the good & the bad so you know exactly what you’re getting into.

If you are travelling with your family, I share tips that will make your travels much easier.

We spent 5 days travelling around Ladakh and it was truly spectacular. I will be honest and say it all wasn’t hunky-dory. There was a lot of road travel involved, feeling the lack of oxygen in places and bouts of dizziness. But we also got to do so many things that have been on my travel list for the longest time.

Since there is a lot of road travel involved, I would suggest you carry snacks for the road that won’t spoil but keep the tummies happy. While we love trying out the local food wherever we go, keeping a few options handy is a good idea.

I carried a few things that don’t spoil easily like – aliv ladoo since they are packed with nutrition ( adding the recipe video at the end), theplas (added this too) homemade granola bars besides other knick knacks to keep them happy.

Travelling with kids was actually not difficult. Follow the tips that I share, watch the video I shared about things you need to acclimatize in Ladakh and you will be fine.

We travelled to Leh, Nubra, Khardungla Pass, Hundar and Pangong Lake. Each part of the trip we made some amazing memories. Whether we were at the world’s highest rafting point on the Zanskar river or finding our inner self walking around Alchi monastery – Ladakh’s oldest monastery or hogging some yum local food – every moment was special.
