What do the kids like more than reading stories, they like hearing them. This year a word play will be organised at Kala Ghoda where Gillo Theatre Repertory is going to perform Mr Jeejeebhoy and the Birds by Anitha Balachandra, a fascinating story about two sisters who want to save their favourite sweet shop.

Your little ones will also get a chance to meet an acclaimed international writer. Canadian-Pakistani author Musharraf Ali Farooqi who’ll be coming to the festival to launch his book Tik-Tik: The Master of Time about two alien children who go on adventures across the universe.

They also have some brain-storming activities in store for your little geniuses that’ll force them to unleash their inner Sherlock Holmes. It’ll be an evening of magic and mystery, where you’ll get a chance to travel to ancient Egypt with author Sonja Chandrachud or play detective with author Aniruddha Sen Gupta’s clues for his brain-tickling challenges.

And it does not end here, crowd-pulling storyteller Jeeva Raghunath and actress Konkona Sen Sharma will be conducting interactive storytelling sessions where the two master storytellers will weave tales around your kids and transport them to different worlds.

What we love about this years childrens festival:

1. They have a mix bag of authors, age groups and genres

2. The changing venues. We love the old world charm of Kitab Khana, the Museum grounds(compels you to visit it, read review here), the NGMA and The David Sassoon Library.
