I love snacks that are portable. I usually carry a little snack bag with me. We call it our survival kit (okay I am being dramatic), but we dig into it when we are running from one activity to the next. We all help ourselves to it, especially my ravenous 3-year-old; she calls it her ‘treat bag’. Over the last few months, I have gotten a hang of what works for us.  It almost always includes some version of a granola bar, some sort of spicy smoky nuts and seeds and fruits.

One of the granola bars we buy for her is a banana based granola bar that is actually rolled into bite-sized balls. My daughter says these are her favourite. I wanted to in some way recreate a similar flavour.
