Why The Royal Children On Their Canadian Trip Are Just Like Our Kids!

Yes, we know they are His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, third in line to the throne and Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, fourth in line to the throne, but who can resist those cheeks and dimples?

This last week we watched after picture after adorable picture trickled in from Canada where the royal Highness’ were visiting with their parents. During their week long visit to Yukon and British Columbia Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine Middleton highlighted and spoke about mental health initiatives.

But after business was wrapped up not only did we get to see the Duchess slaying outfit after outfit, but we also got a rare glimpse into their children’s lives. Prince George (3) and Princess Charlotte (16 months) didn’t care too much for business. And that was when they reminded us of our kids.

You know how your child refuses to greet your husband’s boss or say hello to that paternal granduncle no matter how much you try? Well Prince George touched down in Canada and as all eyes (and millions of cameras!) watched, he simply refused to high five Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Here he is standing in his adorable outfit, staring at the charming Prime Minister!

Or how about when you take your children to the wedding of someone very important or go to that office party that will definitely earn you some brownie points, and your children have plans of their own! Have they ever pretended like they have never seen balloons before?

The royal highnesses maybe heirs to the throne but they show that no amount of British reserve can stand against pretty balloons and bubbles! Watch them go to town here!

And then when everything was over, Prince George just couldn’t take one more wave and one more grin. Here he is with his sister in coordinating outfits, pulling his dad as if to say, “C’mon Dad, haven’t we had enough. Let’s go back home. I miss my bed!”
