1. You don’t need to brush immediately after you eat:

Brushing should not be done immediately after meals. Anytime you eat or drink anything that is sugary, the bacteria in your mouth feed on these sugars to make acids. These bacterial acids cause the overall pH in your mouth to drop below normal levels and make your tooth enamel softer and more vulnerable to abrasion. The same is true when you eat anything that is acidic. Always rinse your mouth at least after every meal.

3. Is it alright to have milk just before bed?

Milk just before bed could cause early childhood cavities. Sleeping with a pool of milk in the mouth leads the sugar to act on the teeth and breaks it down. Teeth are at most risk at night because there is less saliva in the mouth to protect them. Water is the best drink to give at bedtime. Chocolate-flavoured drinks and milkshake powder usually contain sugars, which will increase the risk of decay.
