How do you raise a more confident & responsible generation? The way our parents raised us is worlds apart from how we’re raising our kids today. But that’s because with time and generations, the world has changed. Today parents find it tough to juggle their personal life and work life. We feel guilty that we don’t spend enough time with the kids. But that’s not the important part, what’s important is in whatever time we do get, are we making the most of it? Do our kids trust us and know that we always have their back? When they face difficulties, do they run to us or away from us?

And so, the way we interact with them has to change. We have to be more compassionate, understanding and open-minded if we want to be part of their world. We’ve all had these thoughts to ourselves and wondered how to raise our kids differently.

How Do We Raise A Responsible Generation?

There’s no right answer. But something we’ve got to remember is that the way our children see themselves plays a huge role in how they react to the world around them. I want my kids to be confident and self-aware individuals but it won’t just happen on its own.

As parents we’ve got to ensure that our kids have the faith in themselves to get through any situation and in us, that we’ll always be there for them even if they fail.

We talk about things like these in our #TuesdayTalkWithKSP series that goes up every Tuesday on our Instagram. Here Mansi Zaveri shared her view on how to make your kids trust you.

It’s not about the debate of being a friend vs a parent. But how to be a parent they see as a friend too. We posted about this on our Instagram platform, and so many of you related to it.
