Rakshabandhan is just a few days away, so this year instead of a store bought Rakhi why not make the festival extra special by making your own?

Here are four super simple Rakhi DIY ideas that require minimal supplies and can be very easily made by children too!

Here is all you need:
Material

  • Lace or string
  • Felt
  • Craft Paper
  • Fevibond
  • Passport size photograph
  • Letter beads

Instructions:

  • Mustache Rakhi: Cut a mustache shape out of felt or foam. Braid the suede strings in regular style. Attach the mustache shape in the centre using fevibond. Let it dry.
  • Batman Rakhi: Cut a Batman logo out of felt or foam. Braid the suede strings in regular style. Attach the logo in the centre using fevibond. Let it dry.
  • Photo Rakhi: Cut out a shape of flower using colourful papers. Paste a passport size photograph right in the centre.
  • Beaded Rakhi: Bead in the desired name using the wooden letter beads in a suede string. Secure first and the last beads with the help of a knot.
