My absolute favourite dessert from my childhood is unniappam. Unniyappam is a classic dessert/snack from Kerala and is typically made during Onam or Vishu in a Malayali’s home. I made it for the first time and it was perfect –  not surprising as I had my mom on the phone while making it!
