Many homemade ice cream recipes are made with an egg-custard base. This custard base makes for a creamy, rich ice cream mixture that many people enjoy. But we have news for you. You can make ice cream easily at home and all you need are a whisk, bowls and an ice cube tray ( and it’s egg-free)
We have a recipe that uses 6 ingredients and no ice cream maker ( and its eggless). We have used an ingredient that everyone loves – Oreo biscuits. Are you an Oreo lover? We decided to freeze the ice cream in an ice cube tray – it makes it easier to eat and you can control the number of pieces you eat. I know I can go through a few bowls of ice cream quite easily when I feel like indulging.
Let’s start making some Oreo Ice Cream Cubes
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Whipping Cream
- 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 8 -10 Oreo Cookies
- 1 Cup Frozen Blueberries/Strawberries
- Ice Cube Tray
Method
- Pour the cream into a bowl & whisk for about 5 minutes until you get stiff peaks. Put the mix in the freezer for an hour.
- In a separate bowl, pour the condensed milk, vanilla extract and salt.
- Mix together with a whisk.
- Add whipped cream to milk mixture 1 cup at a time. Whisk together until smooth.
- Crush the Oreo cookies by pulsing them in the blender OR place them in a plastic bag and roll a rolling pin over them to crush them to your desired cookie size.
- Mix in the Oreo cookies and chopped frozen berries.
- Spoon the mixture into the ice cube tray compartments and freeze for at least 5 hours. (overnight preferred)
