Yet another place to take your kids along to is the ongoing Mumbai book Fair 2013 which has 35 eminent publishers and booksellers such as Amar Chitra Katha, Jaico, Rupa, India Book Distributors, Crossword, Faber Castell and more encompassing a wide range of literary tastes. The Book Fair, organized by Spandan Foundation, began last Saturday and continues till the 21st April. If you’re wondering why you’d take your kids along to a Book Fair, here’s why:
– They have organized some fun workshops for kids in a special Kids zone at the fair
– Every evening has a scheduled Cultural event for visitors which portray dance forms such as Bihu and Chou, band and solo instrumental performances like the violin recitals, jugal bandis, and open mike performances
– Other daytime literary art events which include quiz contests with inter-college, inter-school and corporate participants, painting competitions, art & crafts and robotics workshop
