Navratri…Navratras…however, you spell and pronounce it is a 9-day-long Hindu festival that is celebrated all across the country. Well, Durga, the Warrior Goddess is celebrated in different forms over these 9 days.

There are so many legends and stories about why we celebrate Navratri. And the different names that we call Durga on each day of the celebrations.

And, to help us understand it all a little better, Mansi Zaveri, Founder of Kidsstoppress spoke to Nalini Ramachandran. She is a children’s books author, graphic novelist, editor, and storyteller. Also, she’s written a lovely book called Nava Durga- The Nine Forms Of The Goddess explaining the importance of mythology, the legends behind the goddess, traditions from different states and more.
