Practicing Yoga and knowing its benefits its definitely not new to me. Its a way of life for me. I would always see my daughter do so many asanas so effortlessly, obviously she did not know that this is Shirshasan or this is bhujangasan or tadasan. She just knew that she was having fun. But I never propagated that she would follow me while I would practice at home as kids are extremely flexible and if not guided in the right way it can lead to early injuries. But what I was sure of was that at some stage I would introduce Yoga to her.

Just then I chanced on Yoga Zoo.  Here is what they claim though I am still to visit them which I must confess I am very keen on.

At YOGAZOO children are taught how to unlock their own inner powers and potential. They are a company of dedicated professionals who strive to impart the value and goodness of yoga to children though customized programs that are fun and educational. The Yogazoo programs inculcate in children the art and science of living with a holistic focus on mind, soul and body development.

What I found interesting is how all the benefits of yoga are so relevant for children today. E.g. techniques and strategies that calm the mind and help improve attention, concentration as well as heightened awareness and alertness. It also improves balance, flexibility and stamina. Interestingly Yogazoo follows a non – competitive structure which I am very keen on exploring.
